Working in a group of 4-5 pick a successful author or journalist and brainstorm a complete web presence for them within 30 minutes. Think about how a website could serve as a platform for:
basic information about the author
promotion of their books/journalism
aggregating their social media activity
...and whatever other goals you might dream up.
Don't get caught up in thinking about tools you might use (e.g. which CMS, or which plugins) – keep this planning conceptual. Work with your group to sketch out and wireframe the landing page and all major site sections (on paper!) and be prepared to present your findings back to the class for 5-10 minutes. Please make your drawings/sketches big enough that they can be seen from several feet.
